We have a network of around 30 experts who deliver face-to-face learning and development programmes. We are proud to have worked with the following people recently:
Alison Straw
- Alison's 20 year career has been devoted to helping individuals, groups and organisations develop and ensure they achieve their aspirations.
- She has held senior positions in human resources at companies including Selfridges, the Institute of Management and Bettys & Taylors of Harrogate.
- A skilled coach and facilitator; Alison is also a judge for the National Training Awards.
- She has written four business books for Hodder Headline and is also a volunteer counsellor for young people at risk.
- Alison holds a Msc in human resource development, is a recognised practitioner by the British Psychological Society and is a member of both the CIPD and Institute of Management.
Anne Fogarty
- Anne has ten years experience as an Learning and Development Consultant in UK and Ireland.
- She has worked with a range of public and private sector organisations, including two years with the BBC where she designed a strategic six-day leadership programme.
- Anne’s expertise includes senior leadership, performance management, and communications.
- Qualifications include: MSc in training & performance management, BA in international marketing & languages, Myers Briggs type indicator, SDI, Hogan assessment instruments, OPQ32, Belbin interplace and team role accreditation.
- Anne is fluent in English and Spanish, strong in French, and has a working knowledge of Portuguese which makes her a great asset to us and our customers.
Constance Lamb
- Constance has over 20 years experience as an acclaimed professional actress and public speaking consultant.
- Using her skills from stage and screens, Constance specialises in voicework and delivery skills, advanced presentation skills, executive coaching, personal presence and impact.
- She has worked in television, theatre and as a voice-over medium.
- She is a trained teacher, master NLP practitioner, has an M.A. and taught voice to undergraduates at Florida State University.
- Constance has worked extensively with accountancy practices, banking, the oil industry, hospitality and the public sector, helping them structure and deliver all types of presentations – you certainly know when someone has been ‘Constanced’.
David Mascord
- From his background as a journalist and editor, David is a highly skilled communicator and ideally placed to deliver report and business writing courses.
- He also runs his own small hotel in the New Forest, having previously managed a publishing company and been director of a learning and development company.
- He always ensures that the development he offers is interactive, hands-on and enjoyable.
- David provides essential skills as well as enabling style and impact through the written word.
Debra Adams
- Debra has been associated with the design and delivery of courses in financial management for almost 15 years.
- She trained as a Chartered Management Accountant with an international hotel company and has also lectured at IHMI Cornell University.
- Debra is course director for the British Association of Hospitality Accountants Education Programmes
- She wrote 'Management Accounting for the Hospitality Industry - A Strategic Approach', published in 1997 and is used in universities all over the world.
- She’s our finance expert and is brilliant at making the numbers simple.
James Marshall
- From his work as a successful producer with the BBC, James is a highly skilled trainer and executive coach. He specialises in leadership communication and management development.
- James takes a people-centred, original and energetic approach in his delivery using practical examples and stories from his completely unusual take on the world.
- James is a qualified NLP, SDI and DISC practitioner and has designed and delivered a variety of courses for blue chip clients including News International, Vodafone, MTV, Channel 4 and the John Lewis group.
Jodi Goldman
- Jodi Goldman specialises in communications, personal image and presentation development and was a lecturer in communication science at Damelin College in South Africa.
- She is a woman of many talents and is qualified in psychometric profiling, as well as image consulting, and presents to individuals, small groups and large conferences.
- She is very cool and well presented, imparting her enthusiasm and knowledge in a relaxed, easy style making her very popular and fun to be around.
John Currie
- John is our security specialist; gaining his experience through all aspects of physical and technical security from his 22 years in the Royal Air Force and as a senior policeman.
- Prior to becoming a trainer, John qualified as a Home Office Detective with the West Yorkshire Police; conducting high profile and sensitive enquiries.
- He has also worked as a specialist drugs officer within the NHS before gaining his qualification of Accredited Security Management Specialist.
- John's expertise includes crime reduction, security, counter terrorism, crime patterns, drugs and alcohol.
- He gets the point across by bringing a down to earth and, if appropriate, humourous approach to a serious subject.
Lynn O’Regan
- Lynn has over 20 years experience in human resources and learning and development in the leisure, tourism and retail industries. Previous employers include Marks and Spencer, B&Q and Thomson Holidays.
- Her focus areas are around people and performance management, including performance management systems, competency profiling and creating motivation and business focused objectives.
- As a HR expert, Lynn also works with leaders and managers taking a practical approach which cuts through the jargon and clearly explains how to achieve real results from the ground up.
Phil Clarkson
- Phil is a fun and practical learning professional who applies high standards and energy to everything he does.
- Qualified in occupational and psychometric testing, his use of humour and easy going yet professional approach makes him a very popular consultant with clients and delegates alike.
- Phil has a solid foundation of experience in retail management, along with 11 years of learning and development at a senior level, co-ordination and consultancy.
- Phil has found his experience transfers easily into many different organisations and has had resounding success from managing directors to shop floor workers.
Rosemary Bannister
- Rosemary is an award winning sales and marketing professional with 20 years experience.
- After graduating with a degree in hospitality management, Rosemary progressed her career from sales executive to director of sales and marketing.
- Rosemary is a trained business coach and specialises in creating great results in sales people and other managers.
- She delivers all aspects of management and leadership, customer service and sales related sessions.
- She is an expert in negotiation and presentation skills and is fantastic at changing behaviours to improve results and confidence.
Stephen Yates
- Stephen is our retail expert having worked with Heals, Habitat, and Liberty to name but a few.
- He is a highly engaging and talented trainer, motivational speaker and facilitator. He takes an inspiring and positive approach which focuses on the learners' strengths and personal goals, leading to success well beyond the training event.
- Stephen's humorous and practical style always encourages great participation, using both traditional and more challenging techniques in learning.
- Stephen is simply memorable, passionate and breathes energy into any event.
Tim Browne
- Tim Browne has spent over 15 years in the hospitality and leisure industry.
- He is a certified trainer in NLP and a talented personal coach and presenter with a highly individual style.
- He specialises in communication, attitudinal change and management development.
- Tim also contributes to developmental forums and is a member of various committees including HR in Hospitality.
- Tim’s an asset at any company conference. As well as his expertise at improving results, he is a fun motivator – you should see his trick with the arrows!
Trisha Proud
- A business graduate (University of Surrey), Trisha enjoyed a distinguished career focusing her leadership and training skills at a senior level within facilities management, contract management, catering and purchasing arenas.
- As the training and food services director for Aramark, Trisha was responsible for launching numerous new programmes and board level strategic initiatives.
- Whilst at Aramark, Trisha earned the accolade of being the only non-American to win the company's prestigious ‘Mission One Award’.
- Tricia is a highly experienced and knowledgeable project and strategic management expert - her stories are legendary and she’s fun to work with.
